Powers:

Agile: he is very fast and agile, leaping great distances and running up to 500 Kilometers an hour.

Solar Manipulation: He can gather and manipulate Solar Energy into his attacks. The Solar energy is gathered by basking in the sun and being collected through his spines. The energy used isn't “Hot as the sun” but still hot enough to melt most metals and deal damage to opponents.

Summoning: He can summon various theropod dinosaurs and other carnivores from his the Den of Predation. Which ties into to....

Predatory influence: As mentioned above he also influences other predator’s how he does it remains a mystery, but he has been shown to cause population explosions of more endangered predators sometimes causing them to be removed from the Endangered species list entirely. He can also rally other predators to his cause who in turn fight for him.

Mental Bond: Kaitheros can create a mental link with any sentient creature. Namely Humans. Which allows him to speak telepathically with the individual, share his knowledge, lend the individual his strength in turn for the individual (namely Ruki Motoko) to spread his word, serve as a public face and deal with matters on the human level. However due to the nature of the link, any pain he suffers, his link suffers too, and vice-versa. If his link is taken far enough away from him, the link between the human and him breaks causing immense pain to both of them.


Notable Attacks:
Solar Flare: His Spines burst into a blinding flash of light temporally blinding his opponent.
Solar Pulse: He releases Solar Energy from his spines causing area damage of solar energy good for getting opponents to “let go”. Doesn't do much damage.
Solar Fireball: He gathers up energy in his mouth and then suddenly releasing it.
Solar Beam: One of his strongest attacks. He charges up a good deal of solar energy and fires a superheated beam of energy at his opponent. Drains his energy rapidly.
Roar of the Cretaceous: He roars and suddenly various large Theropod dinosaurs appear to aid him.
Predators Might: His attack strength and speed increases immensely as his body goes into overdrive, he gets exhausted quicker however.


Finishing Move:
Coup D' Grace: He powers up all of his solar energy and gathers them to his Wrist Blades, which super-heats them. He then proceeds to either slice his foe in two or decapitate them with both of his blades crossed like scissors.

Fighting Style:
He fights fairly with all of his opponents, and doesn't play dirty, his “solar flare” and “roar of the cretaceous” only coming into play against more monstrous foes. He tries to avoid using his ranged attacks, only using them when his options are limited. He fights mostly tooth and claw using his speed and cunning to his advantage. He usually waits for his opponent to make the first move, his battles can last a while as he spends a good amount of time studying his opponent before getting “serious”.
However, he can get quite rash and abandon “studying” his opponent and getting right into the thick of combat with them, especially if he is angry at said opponent or if said opponent has various innocent lives at stake or both...


Weaknesses:
Honor: He doesn't play dirty. A lot of foes do. And can be taken advantage of.

Solar Batteries: He needs to charge his energy by basking in the sun every day, and he gradually loses power when he fights at night or when there is a dense overcast.

Carnivore: As the King of Predation, he too needs to eat, a lot...a lot of meat that is. He occasionally summons sauropod dinosaurs to snack on (namely freshly dead ones), or the occasional giant chimaera makes good eats. He loses his strength when he doesn't get his nutrients.

Poor Swimmer: For the most part he remains landlocked, but he can wade from landmass to landmass if the water is ‘Shallow’ enough or if he has help from another Kaiju or human intervention.

Damsel Syndrome: His human link is his only way of communicating with the human race, and so she must be protected at all times. If she suddenly “disappears” he's left without a way to communicate, and due to the link...if she is hurt so is he....and if she is taken far enough away...



Personality:
Noble. Honorable, and has a fair sense of right and wrong. He is very inquisitive and interested in human affairs, he will attempt to give all his foes a “chance” to redeem themselves, or a second chance. He is very patient that way, HOWEVER, if the opponent is to much of a “complete monster” to even regard being forgiven, all bets are off. He is also one of the most rebellious of the gods (next to Selphan) ignoring the decision to leave humanity to its fate by C'thun and heading for earth to make things right manually. He also has an uncanny trend of sparing most of his opponents, rarely EVER using his “Fatality” and usually only saving it for the most monstrous and evil of foes. He is however loyal to those he calls his “friends”, “family” and “allies”, despite being rebellious in the current family affairs, he still cares for his family.

Excerpt from an interview with a Korean Union private.
“We were ordered to kill everyone. I was young draftee and I was scared and horrified on what we where doing to Japanese. They said it was for “revenge” during the second Korean War and World War 2. I killed some civilians, their scared and pitiful faces etched into my mind. I was close to deserting or having one of my officers shoot me. I prayed for retribution... and that’s what we got. Out of the Sky, a dragon made of bone descended. It roared and began to decimate our forces... I stumbled and fell over as it slowly swaggered to my area, incinerating tanks and our jeeps with it's yellow fire. It looked down at me. I thought it was going to eat me...instead it just stared at me, its eye gazing deep in my own, then I ran for my life, it didn't chase me even though it could catch up with me with two steps. It was like it spared my life... I took it as a hint and deserted the rest of my squad, a couple of younger draftees joined up with me. And in horror of what we done we turned ourselves in to the Japanese Military, within a week the entire Korean-Japanese War was over. All due to their new dragon guardian...

Excerpt from the report of Dr. Katherine Worron
The saurian guardian dubbed “Kaitheros” is the first factual report of an terrestrial animal that were dubbed “Kaiju”. We have little to no information which gives us a clear origin besides the statement and testimony of Ruki Motoko, the saurian's so called “link”. Her statements suggest that “Kaitheros” is one of twelve gods watching over the planet. I am no theologist, but there is credence backing her story, however it is still to early to say for certain that Kaitheros is what “he” (Ms. Motoko's statements suggest it is a male) is suggested to be. Due to this lack of information, we cannot assume anything at this point, whether Kaitheros is simply a fabled “Giant Chimaera” or if it really is a god, we cannot say for certain. All we can do is watch and observe the actions of the saurian, which at the time of this report suggest sentience and morality...is on par with Human beings.

Biography:

With a majority of the Gods of Gaia favoring the awakening of their brother C'thun to bring another mass extinction upon the earth, a mass out lash came from the other side of the debate. Stating it was too soon for a new Era to begin, and that awakening C'thun would destroy all current life on the planet, and the only sentient race the earth has seen yet! Although suggested to bring man to one of the “bastions” it was completely shot down by the other-side due to matters of man destabilizing the natural peace of the “bastions”. There was an attempt to argue to give man a second chance, However, there was no argument, Carnructa being the third oldest of the gods and the Goddess of Order, held things in line with her natural ability. However one god wouldn't have it, and made it very clear. However as fate would have it, he would not heed the decision of his siblings and set out. He set out during the night, when most of his siblings were asleep or tending to their own matters, he would make things right on the earth himself and prevent needless death and destruction, and permanent extinction for mankind and the other inhabitants of earth. However, while he was on the threshold between the “bastions” and the Earth he met Archaes...

Kaitheros quickly got on his guard, but Archaes told him to stay at ease. Archaes then told Kaitheros he would not interfere with the events about to unfold, nor would he tell the other siblings of his brother's “vanishment” from the bastions. It was Archaes's duty to watch and observe, not to interfere. Kaitheros than asked why Archaes didn't take part in the vote. Archaes chuckled before telling his younger sibling that, he seen all the options before they occurred, and they would all end the same way. Even if Archaes sided with the “Anti-C'thun Committee” It would have ended in a Tie, and the he didn't need to see the future to know that the older siblings have the first say in tie-breakers, and with two of the oldest on the other side, it would have ended similarly...

Kaitheros seen his brothers logic and resided before asking what will happen in the future. Kaitheros already knew his brother's answer. Archaes responded with “I cannot tell any one what will happen, even my own family...as is the curse of my power” Kaitheros resided and set off... once Kaitheros was out of earshot Archaes grunted: “...although, you will herald change, for better or worse.”

Tokyo, Japan
July 3rd, 2113

Tokyo was easily one of the last remaining remnants of the “old-world” standing in the Eastern hemisphere. The City itself was a forefront of technological advancement and ingenuity. Although at first glance it would seem other. Tokyo has remained where it stood for the past 100 years, even with the ocean level rise. Skyscrapers and other buildings rose from the depths of a shallow ocean. The lower floors were flooded with Sea Water, while humanity salvaged a living on the higher floors. Makeshift bridges connected the Skyscrapers, hundreds of feet above the ocean. And boating was a primary means of transportation. The streets and highways that used to be packed with cars were now underwater in this brave new world. Coral Reefs built up at the base of the Skyscrapers forming habitats for all source of sea life. The rising temperatures of the ocean contributing to their growth. While “Global Warming” was less of an issue, the tectonic and atmospheric activity caused by the Aureole caused temperatures to rise all over the pacific, making Washington to Chile and from Middle Japan to New Zealand subtropical zones.

Due to this warming, Tokyo flourished on the waves. Fishing and Salvage became a primary source to get by on this former metropolis rising from the depths. On the shore, “New Tokyo” flourished as Tokyo in the past had. “New Tokyo” was a mere district in Tokyo being divided into two distinct districts “New Tokyo” on the shore, and “Old Tokyo” in the ocean. Both districts were a mix of old traditions mixed with modern technological innovation. Pagodas and trees flourished on the tops of the floating sky scrapers hundreds of feet above the ocean. While Hydroelectric generators and Solar panels were built along side the skyscrapers still providing the reminders of humanities past glory with electrical power.

Morning and Evening Commutes were a lot less congested that what it used to be with people going by the bridges high above the flooded streets or by boat. However this state of peace would be halted. In the distance smoke rose from the land, and that night fire and gunpowder flew high into coastal Tokyo. The Korean-Union had arrived.

The Korean-Union was what remained of what was known as North-Korea after the Aureole's assault. With the north quickly laying dominion over the south and within the course of fifty years had built a massive invasion force with the sole purpose of conquering the eastern coast of Asia. And Soon they set their sights for Japan, a country who had disgraced the Korea's in the past. And by all means, they would make Japan suffer for its actions two hundred years ago during the second world war (despite the fact that Imperial Japan was disbanded directly after WWII) However the Korean-Union's current Dictator, a descendant from Kim Jong II, was just as batshit crazy as his ancestor was...in a bad, genocidal way. And thus ordered an event known has the “Purge” which would involve slaughtering millions of Japanese civilians, and any other horrid act before that.

Soon the KU's armies were at Tokyo's Doorstep. The Japanese Military tried its damnedest to hold off the KU armies. But to no avail as KU troops started setting houses and buildings on shore ablaze, and dragging men out in the streets and shooting them. The women and children were not so fortunate, as some KU troops went into the houses and raped the women and children within before killing them. At this point in the Korean-Japanese War, nobody knew the inhuman atrocities being committed....

Ruki Motoko was a teenage girl attending an academy in what used to be the Twin Government Buildings in Tokyo. “The University of Old Tokyo” was a rather modest university, specializing in most traditional Japanese Traditions. Classes specializing in Martial Arts, Old style Kanji, and even classes on being a proper Shrine Maiden inhabited the old Government building among others.

Ruki was your average 17 year old women living out of Old Tokyo. Her mother and father made a living off of fishing and salvage, which brought in a steady income, allowing the family to live in the upper floors of a flooded skyscraper. Her father stayed at home most of the time, and fished from “the basement” (the floor where the ocean stopped) getting in decent sized Tuna and other fish from his own home, providing the family with ample food. Her mother provided most the income in terms of salvage, a graduate from the University of Old Tokyo, Katsumi Motoko was an expert salvage diver, going down to the submerged streets of Old Tokyo and bringing back various items from the drowned shops. The Salvage sells good, as there a various collectors of old world Japanese trinkets who will pay top dollar with each find. Manga which have somehow survived the ocean bottom for a hundred years, pay especially well, especially if its a more obscure title, and not one commonly found like “Shounen Jump” editions which can be found in almost any store down there. Electronics are used for parts only, while furniture is refurbished and then resold to households. The most worthy of prizes are monuments which can be salvaged and sold millions of dollars. Katsumi Motoko was made famous by finding the “Godzilla” monument down in the flooded streets which put her name in the history books. (The Statue is currently on display in the “Museum of Tokyo” with an entire exhibition on Japanese Pop Culture . The museum of which is located near the “University of Old Tokyo”.


Ruki Motoko took the best of her parents traits, her fathers knack for helping others and her mothers intelligence and curiosity. A good girl, with good grades and lots of friends. However she was also quite independent, preferring to solve everything on her own without help. This would do much to impress a certain saurian...

Back on the Night of July 3rd, Ruki was tending her business helping her father haul Tuna from the basement, when the sirens rang. Her father told her to run, as he went and grabbed his rifle, Ruki didn't run, she wanted to help her Father, despite her protests her Father sent her off on the first escape boat he could find. With him staying behind to wait for his wife and Ruki's mother.

However, things never go as planned. As Ruki jumped port at the next dock while the boat stopped to pick up more refugees. She set off to find a way back to her father, and hopefully her mother. However when she arrived....she found her home ablaze.... She fell to her knees as the skyscraper she lived all her lived burned. People jumping from the building only to fall to their death against reefs and the impact of the water. She seen bodies, dozens of them, floating on the water. Men...Women...Children, some of whom she recognized as friends and neighbors...all murdered. Her eyes furrowed as tears blazed down her cheeks. However then she saw, her father. He was stumbling towards her, Ruki ran over to greet him only to find him collapse in her arms, his back was ravaged and bleeding, from various bullet shells. She tried to tell him it'd be alright and that she'd get help but it was too late, as he faded from life. His last words: “Run...Ruki-chan...”

Sadness was drowned by Anger, but she would heed her fathers dying wish, and she ran...and ran...and ran.

Crossing from docks, to bridges she didn't let up, soon she arrived at the dock leading to the 'New Tokyo' district. She thought she was home free...however she was knocked to the ground by sudden whack to the back. A KU squad had caught up with her. However, they weren't going to kill her just yet, hell they were going to have some fun with their catch.

So they strapped her hands behind her back and gagged her, tears blurring down her face...

'This can't be happening...' she thought as they ripped her school uniform to shreds.

'I'm going to..” they threw her stripped form to the ground

'die...' Ruki closed her eyes accepting her fate... but the hand of fate had a different idea in mind for the young woman...

A freak storm appeared over Tokyo, heavy winds and rain announced the approach of something...soon the clouds spiraled like Hurricane, and in the eye of the storm a bright enveloping light exploded. Leaving a small crater. From the crater, a bone clad saurian emerged: Kaitheros had made landfall.

Sensing for the presence of the local predators, Kaitheros felt immense and terrible pain coming from the people around him. The creatures surrounding him where in dire pain, then he realized (in horror) at the source of the pain: Genocide. He growled and laid eyes on the perpetrators staring wide eyed at the giant saurian...who roared with immense anger at the Korean-Union soldiers, Divine Retribution was at hand...

Ruki had given up all hope, she was going to be raped, and then probably be killed, or worse. The leader officer started to undo his belt, Ruki closed her eyes bracing for the worst. Suddenly, a roar announced itself as Ruki's eyes lit open. The squad looked behind them as a blazing tank was tossed in their direction they scattered, however the lead officer ran right into the crash directory of the destroyed Tank as it crashed directly on top of him.

The tape over Ruki's mouth peeled off due to the sweat and tears from her face, as Ruki looked up at her “savior” tears furrowed into her eyes she looked up at the saurian, however her being at the brink of a Despair Event Horizon got a hold of her.

“Well?! What are you waiting for?!” she cried, making Kaitheros feel taken aback.

“Kill me as you did them! I have nothing left! My friends! My family! They are all dead!” she angerly cried as tears poured from her eyes. Kaitheros stood taken aback by the women In front of him, she peeked his curiosity, and his interest. With hardly a second thought he rashly came to a decision: he would make her his bond. Kaitheros closed his eyes and dug deep into the recesses of his mind before suddenly opening them!
Suddenly hundreds of images flooded Ruki's mind, she fell to her knees as she felt her very soul and mind meld with something. It was almost religious in a sense as she felt like she experiencing a true biblical connection. But what really set the mood was a voice that projected into her mind:

“Child of man, do not throw yourself into deaths cold embrace, survive.”

Her eyes opened in awe, was it...speaking with her?

“Your life is still worthwhile, I know your despair, the atrocities committed against you and your people are unforgivable.”

'who..are you?' she questioned mentally but was stunned when she got an answer.

“I? I am Kaitheros. God of the Cretaceous and the Lord of Predation, do not feel humbled child, now you have my name, might I ask what is your name?”

'Ruki...Ruki Motoko...'

“Ruki? Roo-Key... such a name is beautiful name for such a lovely young... you are a female, right?'

Ruki couldn't help but to giggle, a god asking if she was a girl? This was far to surreal...

'Yes, I am.' Ruki could literally feel the embarrassment from the saurian diety.

“Well, Okay then... as I was stating, your life is still valuable, despite what horror you have went through this night, the dawn is approaching and you are still alive, take your life, your father died defending, make use of it.”

'How d-d-did you know?'

“About your Father? The bond between us allowed me to see through your memories, and you through mine. Mine memories are still unviewed as of yet since you did not choose to look unto them as of yet, but there will be time where you shall know enough of me, as I of you.”

'Then why did you ask my name?'

“simple. I wanted to hear it in your tongue, and secondly it would have been rude to call you by name without getting confirmation.”

'Oh.' Ruki resided but then asked 'Why did you bond with me? I'm no one important, I'm just a teenage girl who had really bad night, my father is dead, my mother is missing, and my city is in ruin, so what can you gain from me?' Ruki didn't expect to get such a quick reply.

“Simple. You are Strong, Intelligent and have strong bonds and convictions, not unlike myself. You were on Death's door step and yet faced with a creature that could kill you, you didn't beg for mercy, you embraced death, you asked for me to end you, for that I shall not do. You are true practitioner of my ideals, young Ruki, and for that I bonded with you and with my bond I lent you my memories, the very pattern and essence of my thoughts as well as my strength and my trust. In turn I ask for only one thing: your friendship.”

'Friendship?' Ruki giggled 'How 'cliché'

“Cliche? No, friendship can mean many things, friendship via two predators is the very foundation of a pack and the friendship between the prey is the foundation to prevent one another from becoming food for said pack. Friendship, Alliances, Bonds... all is a concept as old as the first true predators. And so through are friendship we can change this world, so the attrocity of tonight never again happens among man you are free to reject my bond, young Ruki, and I shall leave with no belittlement to you.”

'and if I accept?'

“Quite honestly, I do not know the path ahead, but I will tell you, that the path less taken is far more beneficial than the easy way out.”

Ruki thought a little, but with a soft reply “I accept your bond and friendship, Kaitheros-kun.” and with that Ruki could feel the surge of happiness coming from the saurian diety, which made her feel euphoric in a sense. Kaitheros roared into the sky starling ruki when suddenly various shapes materialized out of the nowehere, as DINOSAURS appeared out of nowhere, one of which ( a Dromeosaurid) slashed Ruki's bonds freeing her hands, and another(A Concavevenator) offered it's back to her:

“Do not be afraid, these are my Knights, Ruki they shall aid me and protect you.” she nodded and got up onto the spike backed Theropod's back, it's fin provided an ample back rest for the exhausted Ruki.

“Now, let us deal with these monsters you call the Korean-Union.”

And with that Kaitheros and his new ward set off southeast, and began to free Japan from their cruel oppressors. The world was abuzz of this new oddity of nature, however a certain North Korean Dictator quivered with fear as the Saurian diety who swore divine vengeance against him made his way to the Korean Peninsula.

However, hope for him to keep his regime would come from an unlikely source, as from the depths of Lake Tianzi, a giant stirred....

So here we have the first chapter in Gaia's Might! Ladies and Gentlemen, our Hero, Kaitheros! *cheers*

Its a complete rehash of his old Bio, which quite frankly is quite lackluster in comparison to this one. We are introduced to Archaes, Kaitheros and Ruki Motoko this chapter as well as some field notes from Katherine Worron. Stay tuned, true believers I shall have the next bio out as soon as possible!
